Eye Makeup of the Day: 05/02/12

Just wanted to post a picture of my eye makeup today.
My eye makeup is almost always neutral
so sorry if it doesn't interest you!

Products Used:
- ELF Eyelid Primer in Sheer
- MAC Paintpot in Rubenesque
- Wet N' Wild Single Shadow in Nutty
- Maybelline Quad in Chai Latte (the crease shade)
- Milani Liquif'eye Eyeliner in Black
- Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara in Very Black

Review: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural

Alright this is my second review but on a high end product this time.
It is on the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural, which is supposedly a:
"A luxurious domed face powder with minerals, slowly baked to provide a dimensional yet natural-matte finish. Provides perfect low coverage. Use to set and fix foundation or as a touch-up throughout the day"
For reference..
I believe I am a NC37 - NC40  and I use Medium Dark for this powder.

Pros:
- finely milled
- soft and smooth texture
- evens out skin
- gives light coverage
- matte finish
- great packaging
- variety of colors for different
skin tones
- good for setting foundation, concealer, etc.
- flawless finish if used right
- lasts a long time (I've had this for a little over six months and I FINALLY hit pan)

Cons:
- doesn't last all day (gets oily after a couple of hours)
- it's PRICEY! ($29 on the MAC website but I got it off of Ebay for $19)
- has tiny, fine shimmers in it.. but it doesn't show up when applied to the skin
- cracks easily in the center if too much pressure is applied so be careful.
- the dome disappears/flattens after some use...(if that's considered bad lol)

Here are some pictures!

Left is a light swatch and Right is heavy.
Below it is blended out which you can't see because that's
how fine the powder is. :)

Review: ELF Studio Blushes

Hi you guys. Since I am restarting up this beauty blog, I decided to put up similar posts from last time with better pictures. Anyways this is a review on the ELF Studio Blushes which can be found at some Targets and on the eyeslipsface website for just the cheap price of $3! I have 3 out 11(technically 10 if Gotta Glow, the white highlight, isn't counted) of their blushes in the colors: Candid Coral, Mellow Mauve, and Peachy Keen but I hope to buy more in the future. If I do, I'll update this post with more swatches.

This product mentions that "The soft sheer texture blends into the skin for a silky finish. Designed to be worn alone or layered for more depth. Highlight your complexion with a subtle healthy glow!" I definitely believe that this description is correct. It is really soft, smooth, pigmented, and it gives me glowy looking cheeks. But let me go on and mention the pros and cons from my experience and thoughts. By the way I do have oily combination skin so it might differ in results with everyone.

Pros:
- Cheap $3
- Easy to work with
- Smooth and soft
- Sleek, well closed packaging
- Comes with a small mirror
- Has a little "window" so you can see the color
- Glowy cheeks
- Various colors with different finishes

Cons:
- Name on the sticker is a bit too small to read.
- Isn't finely milled enough so it can have a "bumpy" appearance after some use. (but no big deal)
- Doesn't wear all day but for a good few hours (on my oily/combo skin at least)

Here are the swatches and pictures of the product! :)

This is Mellow Mauve. A purple/pink/mauve color.
No shimmer. One of my faves :)

This is Candid Coral. A peachy pink more on the pink side with gold shimmer.
Very glowy. My second favorite.

This is Peachy Keen. It is definitely a peach color with a slight pink tinge to it.
(But the pink is a bit washed out here :/)
It also has gold shimmer. It's almost like a very light bronzer.
I think this is too dark to be a highlight but it is nice for glowy summer-like cheeks.

This is just few swiped swatches.
Left to right: Candid Coral, Peachy Keen, and Mellow Mauve

Thanks for reading my review :)
There will be more to come in the future.

*** This post will be edited if I get more of the
ELF Studio Blushes with swatches and pics.

Hey there!

Hey everyone! I decided to undelete this beauty blog and start over again with good picture quality since I have a better camera now. Anyways for this blog I'm going to be just posting things that you would on any other beauty blog or Youtube beauty guru channel. I'm going to post OTD's, Reviews, Favorites, FOD's, Hauls and much more. I'll probably even take requests in the future. However for now I'm just posting whatever I currently have until I get the hang out this. I've been wanting to make Youtube videos for beauty but I decided that I should probably start smaller until I get more used to the idea of it. So until then pictures and a beauty blog would do great for now.  Small to big is my plan. Thank you for visiting my blog. I'll be posting many more later on :)
